Past Workshops

Crafty Witch Workshop: Broomstick Making

In this workshop we embraced the spirit of the season and  crafted broomsticks with care and with each person's unique style. All types of materials and techniques were  encouraged. We discussed the ancient art of broomstick-making and learned the folklore and traditions that surround this timeless symbol of the supernatural.

Green Witchery 101: Introduction to Plant Magic
Our workshop began with taking a walking tour, where we learned how to identify common wild plants, and their culinary uses and medicinal benefits.
Then we harvested calendula flowers from the garden, and made an infused oil.
Each student left with a jar of medicine and a wealth of knowledge about plant identification and plant uses.
Green Witch Workshop: Harvesting the Jewels of Jewelweed

This Green Witch Workshop began with an overview of many of the medicinal, practical, and energetic uses of Jewelweed. Then we went on a field exploration and harvested wild Jewelweed.

This was followed by a hands-on Workshop to learn two essential herbalism skills: how to make a plant medicine tincture and how to make a healing salve from a tincture.

Students took home a freshly made salve and a generous amount of fresh plants.

Kitchen Witch Workshop: Happy Gut, Happy Life

Students learned how to make naturally fermented pro-biotic sauerkraut and kombucha.

Both of these traditional foods have been consumed for thousands of years, providing beneficial bacteria and health benefits.

Each student made a jar of sauerkraut to ferment at home and received a kombucha starter.
